Dublin Blues

The Oldest Rugby League team in Ireland is Dublin Blues, formed in 1991 with the contribution of few rugby enthusiasts. The club has been promoting rugby in Ireland since its formation. On the inception of an Irish League, the Blues had exceptional results winning the League and Cup double on numerous occasions. The Blues were the First Irish Side in RFL's Rugby League Challenge Cup in 1998. The Blues have competed in that competition several times as Irish League Champions.

Dungarven Rugby Football Club

Based in Dungarvan Co. Waterford Vikings football club put together the best players from the county and further afield to make up the Vikings Rugby league team. The club currently has players resenting the club on international and provincial level. In 2004, Westford team participated for the first time in Ireland's rugby league conference. East Coast Eagles Rugby League...

The East Coast Eagles R.L.F.C was founded in a well known rugby bar on the south side of Dublin in Feb 2002. The team wears Maroon and Black as its official kit and the training is given in St Annes Park at Killester or Dart Station.

Ulster rugby

The IRFU purchased a new ground for Ulster club in 1923 in the Ravenhill district of Belfast at a cost of £2300.00. The ground was enclosed and a stand accommodating 3500 built at a cost of £15,500. In its first season Ravenhill hosted the International between Ireland and England and between 1924-25 and 1949-50.
