Punchestown Racecourse

To say that Punchestown has grown considerably from its days of only double banks and stone walls would be a huge understatement when one considers the eloquent and imposing structures that were developed to bring Punchestown into the 21st century. Punchestown has successfully managed to expand in order to cope with the 80,000 strong crowds which visit throughout the Irish National Hunt Festival but at the same time generate that special countryside feeling at all it's race meetings.
Today, Punchestown is not only the home of the most valuable National Hunt Festival in Ireland but also the home of a host of very competitive and exciting race days where the needs of senior citizens right down to toddlers are catered for over a broad range of price structures.

Facilities

A state of the art Event and Exhibition Centre was added to the Punchestown complex in 2001.  This 60,000 square foot single span unit enjoys many advantages unique to Punchestown including unlimited free car parking, excellent access routes from North and South in an ideal location just off the N7 with the added advantage of top class back up facilities from the redeveloped racecourse facilities. 

The design brief of the Punchestown Event Centre focused on the provision of maximum space and flexibility ensuring The Event Centres suitability for a wide range of events and exhibitions, which have included Santa's Kingdom, The Farm Machinery Show, Our House & Garden Exhibition and a number of Agricultural exhibitions and events.  Bookings for the remainder of 2003 and 2004 involve a number of events returning following a successful visit in year one of opening, which proves how popular the venue has become in a short space of time.

THE PUNCHESTOWN PAVILION

Situated in an elegant marquee located in the reserved enclosure this facility is renowned for its unique

atmosphere and plays host to owners, trainers and racing celebrities. This facility is decorated to the

highest standard with magnificent table settings, floral displays, spacious private bars and numerous Tote

outlets and plasma screens.

THE FESTIVAL PAVILION

This 2 tier structure is positioned along the winning straight with views of the last fence from the glass

fronted façade. The superb location, coupled with the spacious private lawn, provides the ideal setting for

an enjoyable day at the races. Diners are accommodated in private chalets, individual chalets, or at

individual tables of 10 surrounding the private bar.

THE PANORAMIC RESTAURANT

This glass fronted, stylish air conditioned restaurant offers an uninterrupted view from each table, where

guests can truly enjoy all of the live action on the day. This stunning facility seats diners at tables of 10 or

12 on two levels and offers the highest standard of catering at the track.
