Botticelli Italian Restaurant

Botticelli Italian Restaurant

Address: 3 Temple Bar Dublin 2
With its large windows, tiled floors, and bright minimalist décor, this casual Italian restaurant, in the heart of Temple Bar, is an appealing choice for lunch or dinner and is famous for its traditional cuisine. The interior of Botticelli has been designed such that visitors enjoy good food along with a light and airy environment.

Botticelli is run by real Italians who know their pasta. Ingredients are selected from the market daily. Piero Cosso, owner of the restaurant, believes in using the best ingredients to make the best food. The service is courteous and friendly and with the fine selection of Italian wines both lunch and dinner are a treat for the visitors.

Great food is served in reasonable-sized portions, so you could go ahead and feasibly have all three courses. The service is warm and attentive and there is even low-key live music. The gnocchi is a firm favourite and there are also several choices for vegetarians.

Botticelli offers a wide variety of traditional Italian dishes, including an extensive choice of pizza and pasta, in addition to meat and vegetarian dishes. The list of pizzas goes from the margherita to the Capricciosa and the Botticelli. When it comes to pizza, a thin crispy home made crust arrives laden with a bed of tomatoes and other accompaniments include mushrooms, cheese, ham and salami. It is the perfect choice for making a snack or a light lunch. The starters feature a selection of Italian breads, wild salmon, prawns and fillet beef. Botticelli Italian wine list contains wine from the most renowned wine region in Italy, including Piedmont, Tuscany and Sardinia.

The pastas are Penne, Rigatoni, Spaghetti, linguine, Fettuccine and Gnocchi and are served with garlic, parmesan but also wine and vodka sauces. Chicken, diced Beef, Veal escalops, fillet steaks are the main meat courses, but Vegetarian dishes, such as grilled aubergines, are also available. Salads are also served in the Botticelli as starters or main course. Desserts include Panna Cotta, Crostata as well as Tiramisu. A selection of coffees, tea and minerals is also available to enjoy with your meal.

Botticelli gelato parlour, situated next to the main restaurant, produces a large range of traditional Italian ice-cream. Their ice-cream is also available in the restaurant and they highly recommend it to their customers as the prefect finish to a truly authentic meal.
