Gallaghers Boxty House

Traditional Irish cooking in a homely setting is the order of the day at Gallaghers. For those unfamiliar with the concept, the boxty is a kind of potato pancake which comes stuffed with a variety of fillings which include beef, lamb, chicken and fish. Other local specialities include Irish stew, bacon and cabbage, and champ( mashed potato with spring onion). It may not be haute cuisine but it is satisfying, and the lively atmosphere, traditional music and friendly service help to keep Gallaghers one of the busiest places in town. Dublin Tourism Member.
Gallaghers is a traditional Irish Restaurant in the heart of Temple Bar. We chose this place for dinner as I had read good reviews and the food smelt good! It was a busy, friendly place with a big menu and reasonable prices.
